Cultivating responsible citizenship in a non-traditional degree program through a service-inclusive pedagogy

In times of social unrest and inequalities, increased intercultural exchange, and a more diverse population of college-aged students, creating a curriculum in higher education that teaches students to be civically engaged and more socially responsible appears to make a positive impact among all students, but particularly more so among students who may be less informed and engaged in social justice issues at the start of the course.
