Implementing low-cost immersive 360° video technology to promote core skills in journalism courses

December 2022

Virtual Reality can be useful in a variety of contexts, including journalism education. This output presents the findings from a qualitative study with CUFF faculty fellows Dr. Dorothy Bland, Dr. Aleshia Hayes, and Dr. Regina Kaplan-Rakowski. We investigated the impact of affordable 360° video documentaries on the development of empathy, perspective-taking, and literacy skills among journalism students.
