Shamila Fathima Shaik
Graduate Research Assistant/Data Analyst Intern
My name is Shamila Fathima Shaik, and I go by Shamila. I graduated with a Master of Science in Advanced Data Analytics from UNT in May 2023. Currently, I am enrolled in the Master's in Interdisciplinary Studies program at UNT. My research interests include leveraging machine learning and data analysis techniques on large datasets in the fields of healthcare, education, and earth science. As a data analyst intern, I aim to deepen my understanding of real-world data collection and the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data in the educational field. With a lot of rapid advancements in generative AI, I am particularly interested to explore whether generative AI has any impact on both information overload and learning outcomes especially in graduate students.

Undergraduate Research Assistant/Data Analyst Intern
I'm Natalie Brown, a Senior in the UNT Psychology program who is also pursuing a minor in studio art. My main interests involve neurocognitive research and behavioral psychology, really anything in relation to how our brains processes shape our realities and actions. After graduating I hope to go on to pursue a masters degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in clinical research. I'm an avid painter and love to apply my creativity in any field I work in. Although this is my first research position I really look forward to gaining hands on experience with collogues who share my interest in data analysis and to work to make learning experiences more accessible and functional here at UNT.
