Tiers of Engagement

UNT offers three employer partnership tiers, ranging from broad access to its full portfolio of 200+ academic programs to more customized options. Employers can choose flexible pathways that tailor programs to their workforce or create dedicated, cohort‑based learning experiences delivered online or on-site.

Full Portfolio
Employer's workforce can choose from any of UNT's 116 bachelor’s degrees, 87 master’s degrees and 39 doctoral degrees, as well as undergraduate and graduate academic certificates.

Formalized Pathway
Selection of specific programs or degrees tailored to employer's workforce needs to ensure relevant, practical learning.

Cohort-Based
Program only includes individuals from employer's workforce, who will begin and finish the program together. Courses are offered in flexible formats, such as on-site at the employer's location or online, to best suit employer's workforce.

Financial Options

Employers can either cover tuition costs upfront (assistance) or can reimburse the employee after the employee has fully paid for and successfully passed the course (reimbursement).

  • Tuition Assistance: Employer pays tuition directly to the university after being invoiced.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Employee pays tuition upfront then employer pays employee back after program requirements have been met.
