UNT’s Introduction to Data Visualization short course is a self-paced, nondegree program that teaches the foundations of data literacy and visualization. Designed for professionals who work with information, presentations, or analytics, this course explains how to create clear, ethical, and effective visualizations that support better decision-making.

Learners explore the history and value of data visualization, cognitive load theory, visual perception techniques, and essential design best practices. This microcredential is presented by UNT’s Advanced Data Analytics program and upon completion, learners earn a digital badge through Canvas Credentials that can be shared with employers, on resumes, or on LinkedIn.
